Bonus tip- Make sure your ask is in line with the size of the company you are approaching. Nothing will kill your deal faster than asking for too much. Even if a company loves your ideas and wants to work with you, if your ask is beyond what they can do, the deal is dead.
Small companies= discounts or product or small budgets.
Large companies= products and/or budget
