F.A.Q.
DO YOUR SLIDERS REQUIRE ANY LUBRICATION UPON ASSEMBLY?
No, our proprietary blend inserts are hygroscopic. Which is a fancy way to say that they absorb moisture from the air. Creating their own lubrication. The second reason you should stay away from lube on external components like shock bodies is most lubricates will collect dirt/debris. Not only will your parts get dirty quicker, but that dirt can act as an abrasive and cause damage to moving components like your suspension sliders.
FOR WHAT BRAND SHOCKS DO YOU MAKE SUSPENSION SLIDERS FOR?
We currently make sliders for Bilstein, Fox, King and Walker Evans.
(NOTE: if you have a brand of shock that is not listed here, but are interested in Sliders please contact us at info@agm-products.com.com and we will make every effort to work with you to develop a new model.)
WHAT SIZE SHOCKS DO YOU MAKE SUSPENSION SLIDERS FOR?
We currently offer sliders for 2.0inch diameter, 2.5inch diameter and 3.0 inch diameter shocks.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE SLIDERS I NEED?
The numbers we refer to above (2.0, 2.5, etc.) are the outside diameter measurements of your shock body (portion of your shock with threads on it). If you measure that outside diameter and provide that information to us, we can help you determine what sliders you need, if you cannot find them in the selection above.
DO THE INSERT IN MY SLIDER WEAR OUT? CAN I BUY REPLACEMENT INSERTS?
Yes, the insert was designed to protect the body of the shocks and so is a wear item. As with all wear items, in time it will need to be replaced. We offer replacement inserts for all of the Sliders we sell. (NOTE: We recommend monitoring/inspecting the wear on your slider inserts every prep.)
CAN I RUN THE SLIDER UPSIDE-DOWN?
Yes. In some applications it is impossible to run the suspension slider with the long portion of the sliders facing up as there is not enough space for the suspension to function as designed before the slider would make contact with other fixed components. We have added the same cross-over ring contact pad located on the top of the slider to the bottom of each slider so that they can be run inverted without issue.
IF MY OUTER HOUSING WAS DAMAGED CAN I GET REPLACEMENT PARTS?
Yes. If a crash or debris has damaged your outer housing please contact us at info@agm-products.com.com and we will get you the parts you need.
